How to keep your purse Recycle

Keep Your Handbag Off The Ground

This sounds very basic but many purses become damaged or stained because they are left on the floor or the ground. Purses should not be put on the floor of a restaurant, movie theater, store, outside or anywhere else. Always keep your handbag up on a counter or in a drawer. With concealed carry purses, where a gun may be in the handbag, it is especially important that the bag be kept out of the way and in a safe place. Children are curious and likely to dig through a purse looking for all sorts of things. Better to keep the temptation from them, while helping to keep your purse clean and in good condition at the same time.

Use Clean Hands to Handle Your Purse

Concealed carry purses made of leather often absorb oils, grime and grease. Wash your hands frequently and always before cleaning your handbag. Occasionally use a dampened white cloth made of cotton to wipe your purse's surface. But make sure you don't make the cloth too wet since leather will take time to dry.

This kind of soft soap is put on using circular motion. You then wipe it off using a lightly dampened cloth so the leather's pores aren't clogged. This only has to be done once or twice a year to keep the purse clean, soft and supple.

How Purses Are Made From Recycled Materials

There are two distinct processes used to create these handbags, the first of which is traditional recycling. The second process is a concept known as upcycling.

An example of true recycling is the use of an old car or truck tire turned into a purse. The rubber is literally broken down to make it pliable and moldable. The rubber is then hand made into a purse and coated with eco friendly protective material so it is weatherproof and durable.

On the other hand, upcycling is basically repurposing a material which is destined for the trash. Seatbelts taken from junked cars is a good illustration. The seatbelt mechanisms are salvaged from the old vehicle and then cleaned and sanitized. The buckle and strap are subsequently incorporated into the design of the new handbag, with the buckle serving as the purse closure and the belt reused as a shoulder strap.

Another example of upcycling is seen on the popular juice box purse. Labels for juice boxes are created for beverage manufacturers by large printing companies and delivered as huge rolls of colorful paper. The giant sheets of paper are then applied to the juice boxes by special machinery. However, many rolls are rejected due to color imperfections or sizing errors. Instead of being disposed of, these giant rolls of juice box paper are sold to purse manufacturers, who use it as the outer shell of a purse, wallet, or handbag.
